Burnett Electrical is a small family firm which has been servicing customers in Marlborough for over 60 years. Current owner, Grant Burnett's father, Arnold Burnett, started the company in 1957, trading as A E Burnett. Grant took over the business in 1979 after Arnold's sudden death.  Initially Grant worked on his own for the first two years and now employs a staff of three qualified electricians. Arnold would be pleased to note that today the firm is carrying on the family tradition by employing two of his grandsons, Andrew and Blake.

Burnett Electrical became involved in the design and installation of many sophisticated irrigation schemes and milking sheds throughout the Marlborough district.  Another local landmark, the War Memorial fountain in Seymour Square, Blenheim, has been continually maintained by firstly Arnold and then Grant and his team, now using the latest PLC and LED lighting technology.

Training is a major part of the business today with Burnett Electricals’ electricians regularly attending courses to keep up with the latest innovations, as well as health & safety requirements. Burnett Electricals’ suppliers provide outstanding technical back-up and service so customers are assured of the quickest possible resolution to any problems that may occur.

As a long serving member of the community, Burnett Electrical sponsors a number of local equestrian organisations including Marlborough Show jumping, the Blenheim Polo Club, the Flaxbourne A & P Show, the Starborough Hunt (Inc) as well as the Marlborough Equestrian Park, with Grant himself taking an active role in organising and participating in horse events.
